Black Skylands

The plot of Black Skylands takes the player on a journey through a fantasy universe in which the Earth consists of thousands of small islands floating in the air. People enjoyed freedom until threats appeared in the form of the mysterious Hive and bandits, wreaking havoc wherever they appeared on the horizon. After the Last Ones invaded the protagonist's home, he swore revenge on them. In addition, he needs to get to the Hive's nest and destroy it before its influence spreads throughout the world. In a project, the user observes what is happening from top to bottom. The developers provide a huge open world consisting of more than twenty islands, differing in their biomes. So, the main character will have to visit snowy lands, dense forests, agricultural settlements and farms, and, finally, various cities. You will have to travel around the world of the game both on foot and with the help of a jetpack or on board an airplane. The game is based on completing various tasks. Their implementation is hampered by opponents with whom the character deals with the use of firearms or a heavy arsenal on board the ship. As you progress, you will be able to increase the combat potential of the main character, unlocking various upgrades for ships and individual killing weapons, as well as acquiring artifacts that provide special skills; the latter are especially useful during battles with powerful bosses. During breaks in the struggle to restore order in the world, you can devote time to restoring the hero’s family home, for which raw materials obtained along the way are used. Black Skylands has colorful graphics made using pixel art technique. Although at first glance it looks like it belongs to the sixteen-bit era, its visual layer has been enriched with a number of modern solutions, including a day and night cycle.
