Airborne Empire

Airborne Empire is a city-building adventure with an unusual premise: you have to build a city right in the clouds. The player controls a floating settlement and ensures that it stays aloft. The settlement consists of platforms and houses that are attached to a flying base. Overloading one side leads to distortion, so construction is carried out with calculation. The basis of the city is a floating island, so weight imbalance and loss of energy become a real threat. The basis is strategic planning and resource management, because decisions determine how well the air metropolis operates. An error in calculation can result in the collapse of the entire structure. The inhabitants demand food and work, and production depends on supplies of materials that are mined on the surface and on other islands. The world is huge and diverse, so their own ships are sent to explore the skies. Travel reveals new landscapes and threats, including air pirates and natural hazards. Pirates attack trade routes, so fleets and defensive towers are built in advance. Trade routes connect the islands, and pirate attacks disrupt supplies. Construction, trade and defense are interconnected: without supplies the city will not survive, and without protection it will lose what it has mined. Updates add buildings and regions. The research is carried out by ships that return with finds and new points on the map. For those who love sky cities and strategy, this project is suitable. Updates add buildings, enemies, and areas to explore. Reviews note the unusual idea and careful implementation of construction.
