Black Mesa

Black Mesa is a remake of the cult shooter Half-Life, which at one time turned out to be a breakthrough in the world of video games and made the name of Valve. They worked on this project for eight whole years, during which the creators tried, with varying degrees of success, to transfer the old game to the new Source engine. As a result, they managed to achieve the desired effect and the game was released in May 2015. Work on the remake was led by a team of developers from Crowbar Collective. The plot, types of weapons, enemies, setting and the like - all this was lovingly transferred by the developers to the platform of the new engine, which made the visual component of the traditional shooter many times better: the graphics began to look quite at the level of the second part of this series (or even better), the physics acquired characteristic moments for Source, such as the realistic fall of opponents after they are disabled. All this improved the perception of the game and now young fans of gamers have the opportunity to walk through the corridors of the research station long abandoned by everyone (except the fans), fight with alien creatures and enjoy the gameplay for a second time. The game consists of 19 chapters. In general, the plot completely repeats that which was present in the original 1998 version. Some points were borrowed from the second part. Now everyone has the opportunity to touch the cult classics in a new modern shell!
