Colin McRae Rally Remastered is a remaster of one of the most legendary rally racing series, released in 1998, adding content from the second part. A key feature is the realistic modulation of damage to both the exterior of the vehicle and the chassis or gearbox. The gameplay is as similar as possible to rally competitions. You start out on a track with multiple sections, racing against a time set by artificial intelligence. Each stage presents unique conditions: high jumps, blind and sharp turns, long straights and much more. Different surfaces, such as gravel or asphalt, create even more variety by providing different grip levels. Graphically, Colin McRae Rally has taken a huge step forward, thanks in large part to the Unity engine. It is extremely flexible and allows you to model a huge variety of objects. The sound effects were borrowed from other Codemasters racing games. The game has two viewing cameras: behind the car and on the hood. This is not much by modern standards, but it will be enough for a comfortable passage. A total of 30 stages of rally competitions around the world are available: Greece, Corsica, Australia and many others. The co-driver is voiced and guides the racer along the track using tips and indicators at the top of the screen. Damage sustained during the race can be repaired every two segments at the expense of the total time. There are three modes: Championship, single stage and fast rally. In the Championship, you need to defeat your opponents in 8 Grand Prix, divided into 12 or 24 sections. At first, only one car is open - the Ford Focus RS WRC. Three cars are blocked at the start: Subaru Impreza. WRX, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI and Lancia Stratos. They can be obtained for winning the Championship.
