DESOLATE is a first-person horror game with survival elements. The game offers to guide the main character through the open world, killing zombies in the company of friends in multiplayer or cooperative mode. According to the stories of the characters in the game itself, chemical tests and experiments on people were previously carried out on Granichny Island. But at one point something went wrong, and the entire island was swept by a terrible epidemic, turning people not only into zombies, but also into creatures capable of thinking and subjugating space. We find ourselves in a post-apocalyptic spatial world, where the main task of each player is to get to the bottom of the truth. Despite this, the government guarantees the life of every volunteer sent to the island to study the anomalies. Among the weather conditions that constantly haunt the main character or a squad of Volunteers, inexplicable monsters and many artifacts, you have to get to the main point by completing the tasks of the guide. Each character has their own skill tree, which is upgraded after completing tasks or leveling up. For example, you can run faster or move silently to kill monsters faster; You can improve your crafting abilities to invent better killing weapons. You will have to fight not only mutants, zombies and the weather, but also unforeseen circumstances in the form of diseases, hunger and unexpectedly discovered wounds. To do this, the player can make first aid kits, medicines and improve his own armor. The player will also be able to find old records of scientists, read the diaries of the inhabitants of Granichnoye in order to compile a complete history of the island.
