FINAL FANTASY 9 is another continuation of the popular franchise, including many innovations. The new part of the adventure, taking place in a fictional fantasy world called Gaia, due to the change in style, is more similar to the original than to its eighth predecessor. Such changes were positively received by critics and gamers, so FINAL FANTASY 9 received many re-releases in which minor flaws were corrected. The project belongs to the genre of Japanese role-playing game, in which the gamer will have to join a vast team of heroes who go on a journey to protect their own world from a villain who is gaining power. The combat system is executed in a turn-based mode, the player needs to control the entire squad, taking turns using their active abilities or consumable potions. The main characters of the story campaign are Zidane, Eiko, Amarant, Princess Garnet and her faithful guard Steiner. Also participating in the plot are Vivi Ornitir and Quina Quinn, who have memorable characters. All characters are trained in various combat techniques, and combining them allows you to increase the effectiveness of your skills several times. There is a “trance” scale that fills up during battle. You can spend them on the most powerful spells and techniques. Improvements in the characteristics of the heroes, their abilities and equipment occur gradually throughout the adventure. A large number of valuable items are hidden in locations and also drop from defeated enemies. Having accumulated enough experience, the gamer will be able to upgrade the necessary skills of the main characters, suitable for the style of gameplay.
