God of War (2005)

God of War is a third-person hack-and-slash game developed by SIE Santa Monica in 2005. The gods in Greek mythology are one big family, full of ambition and betrayal. The only thing they cannot do is kill each other - a ban from Zeus himself! The Supreme God is strict and never changes his decisions. But Ares, the god of war, has gone mad, and his antics threaten to destroy not only the lands of people, but also Olympus itself! You, the chosen one of the gods, have to kill Ares. Ahead lies the desert of lost souls, the temple of Pandora, located on the back of a titan, and the depths of the kingdom of Poseidon. On our way we will meet almost the entire bestiary of ancient Greek mythology, from centaurs and harpies to Medusa the Gorgon and Cyclops. Combine different types of attacks and grab your opponents, smashing their heads on the ground. Continuous carnage is encouraged by a combo counter that modifies attack power. Sometimes you need to change weapons on the fly while simultaneously thinking about casting a spell in the next second. There are 4 types of magic here: • Medusa's Gaze – turns opponents to stone. • Poseidon's Wrath – blocks electrical attacks and enhances combos. • Zeus' Lightning – creates an electric field that hits enemies on the ground and in the air. • Spirit of Hades - killed creatures rise up and fight for you. Strong monsters can be killed in several ways: by beating them to death with a super combo or performing a fatality. Finishing moves are essentially mini-games of reaction in which you can effectively tear off a monster's head or smash it against a wall. Be careful, a mistake when performing a fatality can result in a serious loss of health. Simple puzzles in the form of disarming traps, rearranging blocks, and even sex with twins provide a respite from the fighting, and completing the campaign opens up an arcade mode of special missions.
