In Gord, while traveling through dangerous forbidden lands, the hero fights mythical monsters, completes various tasks and controls the inhabitants of the settlement to successfully decide the fate of his people. The gamer's goal is to help people survive by operating in a dark and dangerous fantasy world inhabited by a variety of creatures taken from Slavic folklore. As the user progresses, fragments of the chronicle are revealed, in which one can learn the history of the game Universe, where ancient gods, primitive camps and certain Whisperers are described. The main character becomes the leader of the Dawn tribe, which, in search of a better life, goes deep into the forbidden lands. Here you need to survive using the city planning system, completing different types of tasks, which allows you to shape the character of each character. In the process, it is necessary to develop buildings in order to ultimately obtain a powerful fortress that can withstand the onslaught of any enemy. You will have to operate in difficult conditions, when monsters, dark forces and enemy groups are constantly attacking. Secondary tasks with procedural generation and random encounters are also available here, when the character himself goes beyond the boundaries of his settlement, for example, into the desert or to hunt strange creatures living in the area. The game offers a variety of scenarios with missions of varying difficulty, and also has settings that allow you to challenge yourself and choose the size of levels, the number of raids, enemies, their types, starting resources and weather. The city's planning strategy is based on the health of each settler, who must be protected from disease and starvation, which affects their Burden and Sanity parameters. Having reached a low level of these characteristics, residents quickly panic and are able to stop obeying their leader. There are also elements of magic here, to obtain which you will have to pray to the gods. Spells are used in different ways - for defense, for attack, which allows you to quickly change the course of the battle in favor of the main character. Here you can also subjugate monsters, bring down fury on the heads of enemies and hide your own territory from prying eyes.
