Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong takes the action to a new kingdom, where everything is based on music and silk, and the main character is the deadly Princess Hornet. Her path is connected with the protection of Hallownest, and along the way she collects threads of ancient secrets scattered throughout alien halls and underground paths. Controls have become faster than in the first part: the heroine has more moves, and opponents respond sharper and do not forgive pauses. Each battle requires precision, and the heroine's abilities push her to make quick and aggressive decisions instead of cautious retreat. The structure of the world resembles a honeycomb: vertical shafts, narrow passages and elevators that connect different layers of the kingdom. You have to go back often, but discoveries like new tools change the usual routes and open up shortcuts. Secrets are hidden behind fragile walls and in branches where suspicious cracks lead, so attentiveness is more important than speed. In addition to battles, there is crafting: projectiles, traps and other useful things are assembled from the extracted materials, and merchants willingly charge for them. Musical accompaniment and cartoon animation give everything that happens the appearance of a living fairy tale, where beauty coexists with danger. For those players who were waiting for a continuation after the ending of the first part and love complexity without concessions, this road will seem worth the wait.
