Left 4 Dead по сети - Four survivors walk through infected cities, and a horde of the dead reacts to any noise. You can’t survive here without a team: a lagging behind or silent partner is left in the dark. First aid kits do not heal immediately: some of the effects act gradually, and this must be taken into account in battle. The campaigns are divided into chapters, and each brings the squad to the final point, where you need to hold out until help arrives. Between battles you come across warehouses, armories and hiding places, and ammunition has to be divided among each other. Levels end with holding a point: while the evacuation is loading, crowds are coming from all sides, and both positions and distribution of ammunition are important here. Between campaigns there are additional maps and modes where conditions change randomly. You can play alone with computer partners, but it’s more fun with real people. Particular attention is paid to the roles of the opponents: some jump on walls, others spit acid, others run towards the light. Some of them move only from the sound of a shot or a signal in the dark. In addition to the plot, there are fights between players: one side controls the infected, the other is trying to reach the exit. Seconds count here, and coordination is more important than accuracy. Individual chapters are interconnected by the story of the survivors, and there are inscriptions scattered along the walls explaining what happened here. There are also plenty of funny moments: a belated remark or an unsuccessful jump by a partner is often funnier than any joke. For those who want to go through familiar campaigns with friends and laugh at the panic at the end of the level.
