Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is an improved version of the original game. There are 42 characters to choose from, ranging from Mario and Link to heroes from less popular Nintendo franchises. All of them are open initially. There are also 48 trails immediately available. There are also mirror paths. There is secret content that is unlocked as you progress.
