Neverwinter Nights 2 is a fantasy role-playing game set in the Forgotten Realms universe. The game is based on the rules of Dungeons & Dragons version 3.5. The plot is told in three acts and tells the story of the King of Shadows, whom the player will have to confront by gathering a group of brave heroes. Events begin in the village of Western Haven, which is attacked by duergar from the Githyanki outworld. Having dealt with the enemies, the hero learns that they were hunting for the Silver Sword - the only weapon capable of defeating Illefarn, aka the King of Shadows. Teaming up with other heroes, the main character decides to save Neverwinter from the impending threat. At the very beginning, the player will have the opportunity to create his own hero. You can choose a class and race with subsequent distribution of skills. At the start of the game, 12 game classes are available, but additional ones are unlocked according to the story. Classes can be combined into a group containing up to four skills. Among the base classes, a “Warlock” has appeared, which has an endless supply of mana. The hero's squad can have 3 people, but you can recruit many more companions; it will be enough to leave them in taverns. Among them are druids, rangers, gnomes, sorcerers and various creatures. Characters can be influenced to gain their loyalty or learn their personal history. Taking an adventurer into her group, she will constantly drag the main characters into various adventures and scams. Dwarves are loyal, but like to get into fights, and the wizard is capricious and always on the sidelines. The gameplay is designed in such a way that the player can only control the main character, and the rest will act at their own discretion. But if you wish, you can give commands to the entire group or to each individual character, building tactics and making your group as effective and indestructible in battle as possible.
