A separate attraction is first-person fist fights: the camera moves to eye level, and the skirmish turns into a short but expressive episode, which many players remember precisely for this part. Goalkeepers also received more animations and began to play more clearly on exits, and the defense began to react to the movements of opponents. The modes are familiar: Dynasty with long-term club management, Be A Pro for the career of one hockey player, online meetings and tournaments. In addition to the NHL, the game features European championships - Swedish, Czech, German, Finnish and Swiss - which gave a reason to play for a club from their championship. Fans from Russia were especially upset by the composition of the leagues: the KHL championship, which was in the previous part, was removed from the game, leaving European tournaments without the most popular one in the post-Soviet space. But the matches have become closer, and the AI ​​has learned to act more cunningly: the opponent changes tactics during the match and punishes for losses in his zone. Commentators and replays create a complete broadcast feeling. Commentary and presentation of matches are made in the style of television, nostalgically familiar to everyone who watched hockey in those years. The NHL 10 is a solid entry in the series that strikes a particularly good balance between simulation and spectacle.
