Resident Evil 4 HD Project is a fan modification that improves the visual and gameplay aspects of the original Ultimate HD Edition. The mod completely updates the graphics, fixes some PC port bugs, includes support for ultra-wide monitors, and much more. The developers redrawn the textures, adding photorealism, as the game creators originally planned. Otherwise, the plot and gameplay features have not changed. The main character of Resident Evil 4 HD Project is the hero of the second part, Leon S. Kennedy. He goes to a Pueblo village to find the daughter of US President Ashley Graham. Upon arrival, Leon encounters hostile residents, members of the secret cult Los Illuminados. The Ganado obey their leader, Lord Saddler, who controls the people with the help of las plagas parasites. On his way, the hero meets various monsters and bosses, including the short Ramon Salazar or Bitores Mendez. The allies are Luis Sera and Ada Wong, who periodically help the main character. The gameplay is a third-person action game with Survival Horror elements. You will need to solve simple puzzles and manage resources. Three huge locations are presented: a village, a castle and an island. Depending on the location, you will have to fight villagers, cult members, or military personnel. Particularly dangerous are Regenerators - creatures that can instantly regrow body parts. The arsenal of weapons consists of a knife, various firearms and three types of grenades: explosive, incendiary and blinding. Leon carries all his things in a special suitcase. Each object has its own individual size. Weapons can be upgraded if you meet a merchant. You can sell him unwanted items or treasures. New guns are also purchased from the merchant and ammunition is replenished.
