The continent of Solans, the six kingdoms, the recent war with demons - this is the backdrop against which Seeds Of Chaos unfolds. The war ended, there was a lull, but the hero who went through it to the end did not become any kinder because of it. He returned as a cruel and domineering veteran, accustomed to resolving issues by force, and this is not the player’s choice, but a given: only the degree of his depravity can be changed. This is a visual novel set in a dark fantasy setting, and much of what happens is conversation. Replies in dialogues are divided into branches, and they determine how relations with allies will develop, what they will think of the hero, and where the plot will turn. The characters here are not divided into pure villains and noble saviors - almost everyone has their own interests and their own dark side. The calm turns out to be short-lived: a mysterious woman appears, awakening dark forces, and the hero again has to take up arms. The game is intended for an adult audience, there are explicit scenes, and they are presented without embarrassment, although within the overall story. The tone of the story is heavy and without illusions: allies can betray, good deeds turn against the hero, and the past does not let go. The reputation system has been specially thought out - how spoiled the protagonist becomes directly affects the available branches and the reactions of others. Fans of the genre value the Seeds Of Chaos primarily for its text: there is a lot of it, it is lively, not auxiliary, and it is interesting to read even in those moments when nothing is happening on the screen. Seeds Of Chaos attracts with its atmosphere: heavy skies, gray fortresses, intrigue and the feeling that the hero will not save this world, but will only deal with the next threat in his own way. For those who appreciate long text adventures with an ambiguous protagonist, there will be something to read and something to worry about here.
