Shadow Warrior 2 is a first-person shooter about a mercenary who slashes demons with a sword and shoots anything. Levels are built like large platforms where opponents attack from all sides. Weapons are found randomly, and their properties depend on rarity, so the arsenal is constantly changing. The sword works both as protection and as a way to finish off the enemy. The world is divided into areas with different environments, and some of the tasks are given by local residents. Jokes and rude remarks from the hero go in the background. The loot is divided by rarity, and some of the trunks are enhanced with stones. The sword unlocks techniques that only work in conjunction with a firearm. Co-op supports four players, and the difficulty increases with the number of participants. Quests are given by residents and merchants, some of them are side quests. Some levels can be completed quietly, avoiding demon patrols. The levels are open in places, so you can choose the path: along the street or along the roofs. Opponents are divided by element, and some of them are vulnerable only to melee combat. After the foray, the loot is compared and sold, and upgrades are used for the proceeds. Some tasks are given by bored residents. Co-op allows you to share roles: one shoots, the other chops. Separately, I’ll say about the pace: between large forays there are short tasks for a couple of minutes, and they dilute the long fights. Improvements are purchased using local currency, which is given for completed tasks. In addition to the plot, there are separate tests in arenas where weapon assemblies are tested. The loot is sold to a buyer, and upgrades for the blade are taken from the proceeds. You can go through in a company of up to four people, and then the loot is divided among everyone. For those who like to hack demons and shoot, this part is suitable.
