The series updated its lineup much more decisively than expected: young fighters came to the fore, and the main character of the story was Jin Kazama, who will have to deal with his own family. In addition to debutants like Hwarang and Eddie Gordo, old acquaintances returned to the ring. Battles have become faster and more accurate: blows feel more powerful, and the system of blocks and grabs works more clearly. Each fighter has his own fighting technique, and you can find a character to your liking both by playstyle and appearance. After victories and defeats, short video inserts are shown, revealing difficult moments from the hero’s biography. In addition to the usual fights, the game offers unusual entertainment: the Tekken Force side mode turns the game into beating enemies with a change of plans, and the Tekken Ball offers beach volleyball, where the damage increases along with the force of the blow. Additionally, Gon is unlocked - an absurd bonus creature that is valued precisely for its absurdity. The home version received several entertainments that were not in the arcade: the Tekken Force mode, where the hero walks forward, scattering enemies, and the Tekken Ball - volleyball, in which the ball deals damage along with the force of the blow. Additionally, secret fighters like Dr. Bosconovitch are revealed. This variety was appreciated: after playing enough regular battles, you could switch to strange, but addictive side modes. For its time, the graphics looked luxurious, and the music and presentation of the arenas were remembered for a long time. The Tekken 3 is still revered for its refined balance and how well it plays with friends on the same couch.
