Terraria

Terraria is a 2D sandbox game where survival, building and exploration are intertwined with an adventure storyline. The new world is generated randomly at each launch, and its edges are practically invisible: if you dig deeper, you will find endless layers of earth under your feet, where monsters and underground guards live. Behind the simple eight-bit image lies a game that is much more demanding than it seems at first glance. The story begins with an inconspicuous traveler: he has an ax, a couple of tips and a clear goal - to chop wood and manage to build the first shelter. The character’s appearance is assembled even before the start, but you quickly stop taking your appearance seriously: after a couple of hours the hero is already covered in armor, and another hour later he is dealing with the inhabitants of the depths with the help of magic - a book of spells, however, you will first have to get or craft yourself. Crafting here decides, if not everything, then almost everything: at the workbench, equipment for almost any occasion is assembled from the collected material - there are hundreds of recipes in the game. You can also play in a group: at the bottom of the common mine there are coins, gems and rare resources that are available to everyone. The deeper the dungeon, the more dangerous its inhabitants: if on the surface there is enough to worry about with ordinary zombies, then in the depths there are creatures that throw spells, surround themselves with clouds of black spiders and raise fallen enemies in the form of armored skeletons. While you are building a fortress, a variety of people gather under its walls: some ask to spend the night, others offer rare goods for gold mined in the depths. Terraria is a platformer, sandbox and explorer simulator at the same time, where ancient caves patiently await those who dare to descend.
