The Banner Saga

The story of The Banner Saga follows the battles of humans and giant horned varls against the dredges, creatures that inhabited the Scandinavian continent. The game has a point-and-click genre, a bit of a roguelike, the content of the quests is expressed in interactive films, and the overall narrative changes depending on your actions while managing two caravans whose goal is to cross the border. The tactical role-playing game involves constantly moving caravans across the map. In addition to standard movement, the player will have the opportunity to change his squad and upgrade it a little before the battle. Key quests in The Banner Saga involve getting from one point on the map to another, and the NPCs or enemies you meet along the way change the course of the story depending on your actions. Movement in the game depends on will and food. The first one is replenished if the whole squad stops. The second indicator – food – is purchased in cities and small towns. These two characteristics are interrelated with each other, so constantly maintaining both at an accessible level is a mandatory criterion for passing. If the characters have no will, they will refuse to move; if there is no food, they will gradually begin to die of hunger. In addition to simple movement, the game will have battles where the placement of heroes is a whim of the game. The enemy may be stronger in advance, but you can defeat him tactically, because your heroes have unique abilities and characteristics. Use them correctly. The game features a single-player campaign dependent on completing a story-driven continent, and a multiplayer game where players can hone their hand-drawn strategy role-playing skills!
