Alice Madness Returns

Alice Madness Returns is an action-adventure game with platform elements and the sequel to American McGee's smash hit Alice. The plot centers on Alice Liddell, who suffered mental and emotional trauma after the death of her parents during a fire. Although the heroine was discharged from a psychiatric hospital, she lives in an orphanage for orphans suffering from mental trauma, whose chief physician is Angus Bumby. The girl still suffers from hallucinations and again finds herself in Wonderland, where she will have to understand herself and try to get rid of mental torment. The difference from the previous part is that the gameplay takes place in two worlds: the imaginary and the real, taking the player to the streets of London. The gameplay in our world deprives the heroine of the ability to use weapons, jump or use abilities. There are also no opponents on the streets of London. The main engine of the plot is dialogues with various NPCs. Hit points are sanity indicators, represented by a branch of roses. When its value is low, Alice falls into a state of Hysteria - the local analogue of rage. Otherwise, Alice Madness Returns is a platformer where the player needs to find levers, destroy and overcome obstacles. As the story progresses, the player will have to play mini-games in the spirit of tags. There are pig spots scattered throughout the locations, which can be filled with pepper to receive bonuses from the Duchess. Alice uses completely unique items, including a sharp knife, a horse on a stick, a pepper shaker, a tea cannon, a time bomb and an umbrella. In total, the game has 5 types of enemies of varying degrees of difficulty, divided into two groups - Death and Card Guardian. The game is based on the stories of Lewis Carroll, but at the same time it is a completely individual work.
