Assassin’s Creed Rogue

Assassin's Creed Rogue takes players into the chaos of 18th century North America during the French and Indian War. In this historical action game, players will go through the transformation of Shay Patrick Cormack from a member of the Brotherhood to their worst enemy. The game features naval combat in the North Atlantic, where players, under Morrigan's command, navigate treacherous ice fields and engage in ship-to-ship combat. The storyline takes place in three different regions: New York recreates colonial-era Manhattan with its bustling streets and maritime trade, River Valley represents the American frontier with its wild spaces and waterways, and the North Atlantic tasks players with maritime reconnaissance among icebergs and frozen seas. Players use Shay's arsenal, which includes an air rifle with special ammunition and enhanced detection capabilities, to fight assassins hiding in crowds or perched on rooftops. The naval combat system builds on established mechanics and adds additions such as ice-frame maneuvers and burning oil trails to maneuver enemy ships. The game changes up the traditional elements of the series by placing players in the position of a Templar hunter pursuing former allies across Colonial America. The Morrigan serves as both an exploration vessel and a combat platform, requiring players to navigate icy waters and defend against assassins' boarding. The narrative weaves through historical events and locations, introducing players to key moments in America's colonial history while maintaining the focus on Shay's personal vendetta against the Brotherhood.
