The main character of Beholder 2 is an intern at the Main Ministry of the country. While he is at the lowest level in his career, he will do everything to be awarded the Order of the Wise Leader. Or he will go over their heads, thereby becoming the chairman of the ministry. The game is not a direct continuation of the previous game. But in one of the scenes there is a cameo by Karl Stein. The plot begins from the moment when Evan Redgrave receives notice of his father's death. To investigate this case, he goes to the capital Helmer, where he gets a job in the ministry. He faces a long journey through a series of secrets and mysteries related to the death of his father. While working in the office, the main character will have to complete many tasks: take part in a tournament, help a local botanist establish relationships, write fines, take part in a shady case related to drug trafficking, make friends with a drunk and much more. In this case, a certain amount of working time is spent on solving a problem, and the working day has a regular daily routine. Some quests in Caretaker 2 allow you to make choices that have consequences. The better Carl copes with work and tasks, the higher he moves through the floors, receiving a promotion. Thus, sooner or later he himself will end up in the boss’s office. The game contains many scenes of violence, blood, cruelty, black and absurd humor, supported by a system of denunciations, insane patriotism and even exams in logic and philosophy. Fun and cruelty alternate, giving incredible dynamics to the gameplay. The main character can not only be a cog in a totalitarian regime, but also significantly influence the future fate of his country.
