Total War Saga: THRONES OF BRITANNIA is a continuation of the cult series of global turn-based strategies with elements of real-time battles. This time the action takes players to the British Isles, during the birth of the Celto-Roman dynasties and their brutal confrontation with the Germanic mercenaries - the Angles, Saxons, Frisians and Jutes, led by their leaders Hengist and Horsa. The official release of the project took place in 2018. The game was developed by Creative Assembly headquarters staff. The gameplay in the game has undergone a number of changes. In particular, we are talking about the so-called system of recruiting combat units, the recruitment of which is now carried out without the presence of special barracks. The domains are now divided into four or five provinces, headed by a capital, which is outside the jurisdiction of any province. This city is surrounded by high walls and is better protected than other fortified settlements. The agents have disappeared: now part of their functions are transferred to merchants and buildings. The technology tree has become more minimalistic. The fog of war that characterized previous games in the series has disappeared. The graphic design is inspired by ancient Celtic carvings and patterns, making the menu and interface look authentic and attractive. More than 10 different factions are available to the player: British, Gaels, Anglo-Saxons, Vikings and others. Historical consultants were involved in the creation of this game, which makes it significant in terms of historical accuracy. Visual design and updated game mechanics make this part of the famous series more fresh and replayable.
