Colin McRae: DiRT 2, like its predecessor, is focused not only on WRC tournaments. The game offers the user eight episodes. These are Rally, that is, an attempt to set the best time on a given section of the route, Trailblazer (according to the first scheme, competitions take place only in more open places), Raid (races with other participants), Landrush (races with obstacles), Rallycross, Gatecrusher (the task is to get to the finish line along the way, bypassing checkpoints), Domination (races in which the track is divided into sectors, and the player receives points depending on the position in which he reaches them) and “Last survivor" (the best driver wins, the worst driver is eliminated on each lap). Each of them requires the presence of a suitable car. The gamer will receive money for winning competitions, using it to buy new cars (the higher the difficulty, the larger the prize). Then it will be possible to visually process the resulting car in accordance with personal taste, as well as change the internal details. There will be real drivers in the game. They can give advice or participate in competitions. In some cases, they also support the player as teammates. There is a wider multiplayer mode than before, with a maximum of eight people able to play against each other. Drivers can compete in races that affect their position in the online rankings, or play in free mode. In the first case, the choice of cars is limited. In the second, you can choose any sports car and decorate it properly.
