DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT is the long-awaited final version of Kojima’s creation, which will tell the story of the survival of humanity and its struggle against an enemy stronger in all aspects. Despite technological progress and unique weapons, it is very difficult to resist demons. Hunting requires strength, endurance and courage from all fighters. A mysterious event, later called Des Stranding, led to the formation of a rift between the world of the living and the dead. Many terrible and powerful creatures began to emerge from the portal, which almost immediately destroyed half of humanity, and then another quarter. The remaining people are scattered almost all over the world, trying to survive and hide from problems, collecting leftover food and building higher fortifications so as not to remain so vulnerable at night. Those who had access to military weapons began to shoot enemies using all advanced technologies, but the forces were too unequal. The main character Sam Bridgex decides to unite the last citizens of America for the final confrontation. But even if they manage to repel the demons, this will not solve the problem of small numbers and other difficulties. DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT is a director's cut of the game and no parts were cut or removed prior to release. Some missions may seem very difficult and drawn-out, but this is how the developer sees them from the very beginning, in order to convey all the hardships of human survival. The player will experience difficult stories, personal dramas and real heroic deeds that evoke respect mixed with sadness and grief.
