Motherland

The indie project Motherland tells the story of tragic events that immerse you in an atmospheric adventure in a chaotic world mired in an epidemic. The user will take on the role of a tourist stuck during a dangerous situation in a foreign country. We have to sit at home, postponing getting to know the cultural program. Returning to your home state will not be possible due to closed borders. The game is filled with the spirit of the post-apocalypse, taking you into a world of eternally gloomy and gray tones. After being indoors for a long time, the main character Motherland is trying to get out. If you feel that your health is deteriorating, you will have to go outside and find a pharmacy. The main task is to explore locations that allow you to feel the mood of hopelessness and sadness that absorbs the character in the dark times that have come. The provincial town is filled with various attractions that attract foreigners who dream of getting to know the customs and architectural heritage of the post-Soviet space better. The plot part develops nonlinearly, depending only on the actions and decisions of the player. You can meet intriguing and colorful personalities who move around the accessible terrain. A world free for the user to explore, free to go anywhere and filled with prefabricated houses, with an endlessly stretching sense of melancholy.
