Description

Devil May Cry 5 is a third-person slasher where Dante and Nero return to a familiar universe. The question of why they are fighting demons again is not as simple as it seems at first. Different characters go through different branches of history, and the overall picture consists of only three perspectives. The developers did not change the combat mechanics: speed remained the main difference of the series, and combos are assembled from weapons, styles and additional forms. The three heroes play differently: one relies on a mechanized arm, the second on combat modes, and the third on summoning creatures. Weapons and styles are unlocked gradually, and upgrades are purchased using items found. Style scores are given by letter, so the battle becomes a competition with yourself. Training rooms allow you to practice your skills, and results tables encourage you to return to difficult levels. The levels are arranged with secrets and hidden rooms, and some of the finds open up additional tasks. The design and music set the pace: the camera doesn’t lag behind, and the enemies don’t let you relax. The add-on with playable Virgil added a separate playthrough option. Support for mods and updates has allowed the community to expand the game with new modes. Additional quests for each hero reveal the past and add context. After completing it, there are several difficulty levels left and a reason to return to your favorite character. For anyone who loves spectacular fights and a high threshold of skill, this part gives the complete set.
