Dungeon of Death

Dungeon of Death offers to go down to where no guests are expected: under the dark vaults of the dungeons the hero is met by traps, guards and creatures that don’t care who he is or why he came. From the first minutes it is clear that the path promises to be long and gloomy. Battles are based on changing weapons and reading the behavior of opponents. The sword is good against single enemies, but in a narrow corridor something fast works better, and you have to deal with a crowd with short attacks and retreat. For victories, the hero receives experience and equipment, which significantly changes the style of play. The levels do not repeat each other: somewhere you need to find a key and not fall into a trap, somewhere you need to clear the area and deal with the local owner. Health and supplies are limited, so it’s not always possible to run ahead, and saving becomes a small holiday. Separately, it is worth noting that the equipment makes sense: the selected weapon changes not only the damage, but also the speed of the swing. Supplies are rare, so hoarding them until the last minute is not the best idea, but it’s worth upgrading your armor in advance. Between levels, the player decides whether to invest in defense or strength, and the style of play depends on this. One more detail: improvements are purchased between runs, so before a new descent you should decide what will be useful right now. This is an old-school action RPG in spirit: no hints at every turn, with fair difficulty and rewards for accuracy. The project was appreciated precisely because it does not try to be simple - Dungeon of Death trusts the player and requires patience from him.
