Take control of one of 14 factions as the boss of the underworld. Many of the characters are based on real gangsters such as Al Capone, Stephanie St. Clair or Goldie Garneau. Your tasks include building an entire criminal empire. Recruit new people, engage in racketeering, kidnapping and fight rival mafia gangs. Build Chicago's underground economy. Build reputation through intimidation and extortion. Manage the underground entertainment industry, including casinos, bars, strip clubs, etc. Gather your gang to fight against representatives of another faction in turn-based mode. Attack enemy territories or defend yours. The battle is based on tactics that do not forgive mistakes. Each team member is an individual with his own character and characteristics. In the city you will meet people of different nationalities: Irish, Mexican, French, etc. Depending on your skills, conflicts can be resolved in two ways: peacefully or through mass slaughter. If reputation points allow you to put pressure on NPCs, then it is enough to intimidate the character so that he leaves in peace. However, mafia bosses are difficult to put pressure on, so you will have to engage in battle. Competitors raid your points, but nothing stops you from attacking first. The economic part of Empire of Sin is built on production. Build breweries and buildings that sell alcohol. It is important to respect the values ​​of quantity and quality. The gameplay is a simplified game where there is no need to create complex production chains. All you have to do is choose a building type and start building it. In the future, the structure itself will begin to produce the necessary resource or product.
