Enderal: Forgotten Stories

Enderal: Forgotten Stories is a large custom development based on the famous role-playing game, which has become an independent project with its own world. The world of Enderal is not connected with the original source and lives by its own rules. In addition to the plot, there are tasks, factions, crafts and leveling, similar to the usual, but with different accents. The story is dark, with reflections on faith, freedom and death, and the ending depends on what the hero managed to understand and do. The game is free, but requires a basic one, and is comparable in volume to a full-fledged campaign. It’s worth mentioning separately about the world: Enderal is not connected with the original source and lives by his own rules, and the story is presented in a dark and serious manner. In addition to the plot, there are factions, crafts and leveling with other accents. The ending depends on what the hero managed to understand and do, so decisions have weight. The project is free, but requires a base game, and is comparable in volume to a full-fledged campaign. The design and music are on par with commercial projects, which is rare for custom development. Weapons and magic require different approaches, so the play style depends on your own preferences. Side quests are often more important than the main line, and the world is revealed in them. Weapons and magic work differently, so everyone chooses their own style. Many of the side stories here are more meaningful than the main plot. Side quests often reveal the world deeper than the main line. The user nature is noticeable in the little things: the interface and voice acting are unique, and some of the systems have been redesigned to suit the needs of the story. The community continues to release fixes, so the build should be taken from trusted sources. Those players who like this should try it.
