Far Cry

Far Cry takes the action to an island archipelago where veteran commando Jack Carver searches for missing journalist Valerie Constantine. On the spot, the hero finds himself in a story with local genocide, monsters and genetic engineering. You have to explore the entire island: beaches, forests, canyons, swamps, mines and a volcano. Huts give way to ancient temples and laboratories. Opponents are also changing - ordinary military personnel are gradually giving way to trigens. Fights take place in open spaces, where it is important to use terrain and cover. You can choose the approach to the camp in advance: through the water, along the rocks or along the road. Weapons and equipment are selected for the task, and some places are better to go through quietly. The island lives its own life: patrols walk along the roads, and conversations are heard in the camps. Caches and supply boxes are hidden in the most inconvenient places. Weapons are gradually being replaced by more powerful ones found among opponents. Water and jungle provide shelter, but sometimes interfere with movement. The tropics give way to canyons and mines, and this affects tactics. The danger comes from both people and creatures created in laboratories. At night, visibility decreases, so the lantern attracts attention. Tasks from different people give you money and access to new types of weapons. The weapon deteriorates quickly, so you have to hold two barrels in your hands. Transport helps move supplies around the island. Saves are limited, so making mistakes is worth your time. Anyone who loves tropical shootouts with reconnaissance still likes the game.
