Description
Fisherman's Bass Club is a perch fishing simulator, released in 2002 and made by studio Vingt-et-un Systems.. There are no chases or shootouts here: the player takes gear, chooses a place and tries to catch a fish that does not have to bite according to the schedule.
Two modes offer a different approach: in one you calmly explore the lakes and select baits, in the other you go to competitions, where it is important to gain weight faster than your opponents. It is the tournament part that creates the main tension: time is limited, the fish are capricious, and every mistake in wiring takes away valuable minutes.
The game takes into account the weather, time of day and fish behavior, so the habit of casting to the same place quickly stops working. You have to change baits, try other depths and watch the bite - not entertainment, but an activity for the patient.
Separately, it is worth noting that gear and bait are selected depending on the depth and transparency of the water, and a mistake here means an empty day on the lake. The weather changes the activity of the fish: before a thunderstorm the bite is noticeably worse, but in cloudy hours you can count on a good catch. There is also a magazine with caught trophies, where you can see how much weight your best perch gained. There is also a free fishing mode, where you can simply find a quiet corner and spend a couple of hours on the lake.
Technically the project is modest, the graphics are conventional. But for fans of quiet time, the Fisherman's Bass Club works as it should: it's a game where you can relax, listen to the water, and enjoy the rare but hard-earned catch.
