Future Fragments

Future Fragments is a story about a girl who walks through a kingdom and deals with its troubles. The game combines running with obstacles, short fights and conversations with locals. Levels are built around cliffs, abysses and moving platforms, and between them there are skirmishes with opponents. Bosses require patience, and each one requires a different approach. Some stages are completed in different ways, and this is noticeable in time. Between chapters there are short inserts explaining where the heroine is going. The design is hand-drawn, the music is upbeat, and the controls take a minute to master. In addition to the main line, there are short tests where you need to complete a section without damage or within the allotted time. Shops can be found between stages: they buy potions and upgrades for techniques. Opponents are divided by element, and each has its own weapon. The music changes with the environment, but the interface remains laconic. The save is placed after the chapter, and the map shows where there are unclosed places. Some episodes open only with a certain choice, so replaying chapters is useful. A summary of chapters and items found is available in the menu. Individual challenges are unlocked after complete completion, and the rules change in them. Weapons are upgraded for collected materials, and first aid kits are found along the way. The levels vary in climate and this is evident in the scenery. Some tasks require not speed, but attentiveness: if you miss the lever, you will come back. The save is placed after the chapter.
