GRIS

GRIS is a standard platformer, made entirely in pastel colors and a constant atmosphere of suffering of the human soul, capturing the reality of pain and the entire oppressive existence. The personification of everything bad lies in the perception of the girl GRIS. She is naive, so she suffered a lot in her life. The heroine's power lies in her dress, which gives her unique abilities. One element of a woman’s wardrobe can replace the entire world of the protagonist in the forge of pain. According to the plot, we are shown a simple character who needs to reach the end in order to understand the true cause of his suffering, so GRIS is a game about human emotions; about the many psychological factors that play a role in the baseness of the existence of an ordinary person. As she progresses through the story, “jumping, breaking barriers, using the features of her dress,” GRIS will be introduced to a new world that is gradually changing thanks to her movement. The developers laid down one basic reason for human happiness: “only in motion will you be calm,” they say. The game is something meditative, requiring careful attention and reflection on every step of the project, where the main character will not be afraid of death, nervous breakdowns, or the atmosphere. We have to solve riddles, think through our movement towards the truth, in order to finally calm down the naive GRIS. A special achievement of the developers was the plot, revealed through signs and human emotions in a bouquet with psychological triggers. There is practically no text in the game.
