Half-Life: Alyx

Half-Life: Alyx became the first AAA-quality game in history for virtual reality devices, which can only be enjoyed on a PC using the appropriate device, namely a VR headset from Steam and related gadgets. The plot is a spin-off, the events of which unfold in the interval between the actions of the first and second parts. The Black Mesa Incident allowed Alliance forces to gain a foothold on the planet, leaving the remaining humans trapped in the cities. The main character is Gordon Freeman's friend Alix Vance, who, together with a resistance squad led by her father, will have to fight an unequal confrontation with the Alliance, a race of evil aliens. According to plot twists, everyone's favorite nuclear physicist Gordon Freeman is in a state of cryogenic sleep - this explains his absence from the role of the main character. Despite its belonging to the VR niche, Half-Life: Alyx is entirely imbued with the spirit of the original franchise. Gameplay elements remained quite traditional for the series: running, jumping, portals, shooting from futuristic and not so futuristic guns, solving intricate and interesting puzzles and much more. With enemies, too, everything is like the good old days. You'll face headcrabs, the walking dead, and the Alliance army, as well as fight tripods and other new enemies.
