Hi-Fi RUSH follows the adventures of a guy named Chai who decides to participate in the Armstrong project. The Vandeley Technologies company provides implants to people with special needs, but requires them to work off the investment. The interface suggests rhythm: the edge of the screen and the surroundings sway to the beat of the composition. The project was conceived as a way to return mobility to people, but it turned into a corporate experiment. Chai dreamed of becoming some kind of rock star, but ended up at a garbage station. Changing weapons and techniques occurs on the fly, and the rhythm is not interrupted. The main thing here is rhythm: strikes, dodges and tackles fall to the beat of the music, and accuracy increases damage and unlocks techniques. The environment plays along, and the battles turn into a show. Companions gradually join, and each has its own character and manner. Between levels, the heroes rest and discuss an escape plan. Companions and robots help in battles, and bosses act as musicians. The cartoonish presentation and energetic soundtrack have long been loved by players. The bosses perform as separate acts with music and their own techniques. Each fight is accompanied by music, and a miss is heard immediately.
