Lay of the Land

Lay of the Land offers a fantasy world in which every element obeys the laws of physics. Fire can spread to vegetation, sand crumbles underfoot, flows of water change the landscape, and gas accumulations can suffocate unwary travelers. Gamers will have to deal with these natural threats in order to survive. Core gameplay involves exploring procedurally generated lands, fighting local creatures, and collecting resources for construction. Combat in Lay of the Land encourages tactical use of fully destructible environments. The vaults of caves can be brought down on the heads of enemies, trees can be felled onto monsters, and gaps can be made in the walls for surprise attacks. The player chooses their own approach to combat, turning the character into a specialist in melee weapons, long-range attacks, or arcane magic. Victory over opponents brings loot, opening access to new equipment for further development. This game offers a world to explore, consisting of many biomes with unique fauna and wonderful locations. Exploration will lead players to overgrown ruins, dangerous temples filled with treasure, and deep networks of abandoned mines and winding caves. The materials collected on site form the basis of the voxel-based construction system. It allows you to build any structure, from modest houses to majestic castles, and directly change the terrain.
