Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne takes place a year after the events of the first part and takes place in New York. There will be characters that the player has seen before. Max returned to the police force, and for a while it seemed like everything was back to normal. Unfortunately, the past came back into his life. The criminals again wanted to remove him and entrusted this to Mona, a mysterious woman, a killer (known from the first part), with whom the hero falls in love. The situation becomes even more complicated when Max, troubled by doubts and feelings for Mona, kills his partner... The plot of the game is structured in such a way as to resemble crime films of the 1940s (noir style), where there is one “Good” hero, a femme fatale and a love plot, as well as a detective line full of numerous surprises and twists. The story is three times longer than before, but the game itself is a similar length. The plot is deeper and more meaningful. The creators wanted to avoid the typical "boredom" of players, and everything was built in such a way that the game could be played with bated breath, from beginning to end. Moreover, in the first part, the story and battles were separate parts, meaning the player could skip cutscenes. This time everything is neatly integrated. Despite the conceptual changes, the game is intended for adults only, as it contains scenes of violence, murder, and other things. The authors also tried to once again surprise players with an excellent audiovisual environment and the effects used. The game uses a new graphics engine, locations and character models are implemented with even greater attention to detail, actors are hired (in the first part, the faces of the Remedy team members, their friends and relatives are visible).
