Need for Speed ​​Payback takes place in the city of Fortune Valley, where you can move freely. The open world has the largest area in the history of the series. The city is divided into 4 districts: Silver Rock, Liberty Desert, Mount Providence and Silver Canyon. Each location has its own architecture and landscape. The storyline will be represented by three playable characters: • Tyler Morgan – drag racing specialist; • Sean McAllister – professional drifter and off-road racer; • Jessica Miller is a mechanic girl who can effectively evade police pursuit. In addition to the main characters, three more minor characters actively participate in the plot: Ravindra Chaudhry, Lina Navarro and Marcus Weir. Need for Speed ​​Payback focuses on hot police chases, illegal street racing and crime. By earning reputation points, new cars and parts for their customization and modernization will gradually be unlocked. By clearing territories and completing available races in this territory, competitions open up with the local boss, who is the leader of the area. As the story progresses, the police will become more aggressive. They will start driving increasingly powerful cars and using rhinoceros trucks that can ram and significantly slow down the player. The online game features a Speedlist system, the essence of which is that a driver increases his rating based on the results of various competitions, which moves him up the leaderboard. The developers tried to make the chases and the plot as interesting and rich as possible, while simultaneously working on the world around them.
