OCTOPATH TRAVELER 2 belongs to the JRPG genre. The sequel inherited all the main features of the original. The graphics once again combine retro pixel art with modern 3D effects. Subsequently, the developers improved the visual component. Events take place in a world called Solistia, where there is technology and magic. Consists of two continents separated by a sea. It has a day and night cycle. Users are again given a choice of 8 heroes and heroines, just different ones. Each main character has his own individual storyline, personality, motivation, profession, preferred weapon, skills and ways of interacting with the environment. All personal stories, as before, are divided into chapters. Players can play parallel stories in any order. Locations can be freely explored. This JRPG features trading, dungeons, loot chests, side quests, leveling, a reputation system, and additional specializations. The battles here are turn-based. Battles are based on the need to break through enemy defenses and look for vulnerabilities in opponents. You can enhance the attacks of team members. In this sequel, the developers improved the combat by adding hidden skills. Octopath Traveler II gives you the opportunity to play as the following characters: • Agneya – a cheerful dancer who left home for the sake of her dream; • Kastti is a pharmacist girl who wants to restore lost memories; • Oswald is a scientist trying to find the killer of his wife and child; • Hikari is the prince of the kingdom who became a warrior and is very tired of conflicts; • Ochette is a hunter who knows how to tame animals, whose fate changed after the disaster; • Partitio – a failed merchant who decided to fight poverty; • Tron – a thief with a dark past who dreams of changing her life for the better; • Temenos is a cleric who goes on a journey to find answers after a church tragedy.
