The PixARK combines open-world survival with the voxel graphics familiar from block-building sandboxes. The world is full of creatures: there are more than a hundred of them, and some can be tamed, raised or used on the farm. It all starts with a simple thing: make a fire, get a stone, build a shelter. Then more complex things are revealed - weapons, technology, magic. The world is not safe: stronger creatures come out at night, and it is better to spend the first nights in shelter rather than in the open. You can play alone or together with others on servers where joint projects and clashes over territory appear. There are also story missions that lead through the regions and reveal what kind of disaster happened here. It’s also worth noting that the game has zones of varying difficulty and dungeons with rare materials, where it’s better to go prepared. Tamed creatures help with housekeeping and in battle, and catching them becomes a separate activity. In addition to survival, there is also construction: the shelter eventually turns into a real fortress. It’s worth adding that the game also has a co-op mode: together it’s easier to explore territories, share responsibilities and defend the base from night attacks. It is worth adding that some creatures can be kept at the base: they collect resources and protect approaches, so taming is also beneficial in the household. The graphics are simple, but the amount of work with the world is large. The PixARK is an option for those who like to build and explore in a group, without giving up adventures with monsters.
