Police Shootout gives you the opportunity to feel like an American policeman. This is a police simulator with a first-person view. In addition, the project contains elements of a text quest. There is blood and violence in the indie project. The gameplay is based on making decisions in emergency situations. In Police Shootout, the user is always transported to the most interesting episodes of police operations, skipping all the prologues. For example: at the time of a store robbery, when law enforcement officers have already responded to the call and are now negotiating with the criminals. The incidents themselves are based on real incidents. The player's task is to neutralize the suspects and rescue the hostages. During a conversation with offenders, the user selects remarks in the dialog box, trying to come to an agreement peacefully. If the conversation ends in failure, then a shootout begins. You can turn on time slowdown to dodge enemy bullets. It is also possible to enter a special aiming mode. It resembles an analogue from the third Fallout: everything around freezes, and the user chooses which part of the body of a particular enemy to shoot. You can target the head, torso, legs and arms. If you shoot a limb, the enemy may fall and drop the weapon. However, not all opponents give up. Some people prefer to go all the way. Sometimes the gamer is accompanied by a virtual partner. You can share ammo with him, give him your gun, and even call an ambulance if he gets shot. For successfully completing tasks you are awarded badges. If there are enough of them, they are given a promotion that gives them access to new missions.
