Red Dead Redemption

The beginning of the 20th century in the Wild West in Red Dead Redemption was not easy. John Marston was formerly a member of a gang of thugs, but decided to put an end to his bloody activities. The guy did not manage to start a quiet life - the hero was taken under the “guardianship” of the civil service, whose agents forced him to work for them. The PC's family is in their crosshairs, and if they refuse, John's relatives will be killed. The main character must catch or kill his former “colleagues”. In search of his accomplices, Marston will go a long way from Western America to the very heart of the state. The hero will have to travel on horseback and on foot, exploring along the way locations made in accordance with the chosen period. The action begins in New Austin at a time when the heyday of the Wild West is waning. In conditions of total industrialization, any lawlessness is punished. The steamship with the main character on board docks in the town of Blackwater. During the journey, many random events can happen to the main character: a woman runs up asking for help, but her accomplices are hiding and will kill the hero when they approach; the grocer asks to detain the robbers; a lone traveler can easily steal a horse. Here you have to interact with the environment, including to earn money. The game features random missions, hunting to sell animal skins and organs, and you can play dice, blackjack and poker. Part-time work as a watchman at night, treasure hunting, neutralizing criminals for money - there are many options. You can become a bandit by robbing caravans and kidnapping people, but you have to be careful here - the shooter has a karma system, so such lawbreakers will be pursued by the authorities. Funds are used to purchase arsenal, horses, medicines and tickets for stimulants for horses to improve the animal. The creators of the game became innovators in using the weapon selection function - the “circular selector”. The gamer will be able to select weapons from the available weapons much faster. The hero will receive an inventory with slots divided into groups: shotguns; revolvers and pistols; fists; lasso; knife or flashlight; sniper rifles; standard rifles; throwing weapons. The arsenal is represented by samples from the American Civil War period and semi-automatic options. The locations contain stationary weapons that can be found by completing certain tasks.
