Resident Evil 2 (1998) is a continuation of the cult zombie horror series by Shinji Mikami and Capcom. This time the events move to the city of Raccoon City, after the T-virus escaped from Spencer's mansion and infected the entire metropolis. The Umbrella Corporation sends a squad of specially trained fighters to steal a strain of the more dangerous G-virus from the hands of scientist William Birkin. Their plan will fail and bring a catastrophe on a global scale. At this time, Leon S. Kennedy, a newcomer to the local police department R.P.D., arrives in town. and Claire Redfield - Chris's sister from the first part, who arrived in search of her brother. By coincidence, their paths crossed, but an accident forced them to go their separate ways, and therefore several scenarios will be available for passage. The main innovation of the sequel lies in the method of storytelling, which to this day can be called unique. The game has two main characters, but four different stories. Having started the campaign as Leon A, at the end of the game a save occurs, the loading of which begins the scenario of Claire B, where the player will see an alternative path of the heroine trying to get out of this nightmare parallel to Leon. After this, you can begin Claire A's scenario, repeating the same action, but now going through the story of Leon B. In this case, new levels, characters and story segments will be available in each of the four campaigns. Instead of the estate from the first part, you will have to explore a huge police station, which is an analogue of a museum, visit the secret laboratories of a pharmaceutical corporation and rush through the streets of an infected city. In the game, compared to its predecessor, greater emphasis is placed on action, and therefore the combat arsenal has significantly expanded. Each of the two heroes has a special weapon. For example, Leon can use the Ingram high-speed machine gun, and Claire can use the Crossbow crossbow. At the same time, exploring locations and solving puzzles and puzzles remained in place. In addition to shooting zombies and other monsters, the heroes will have to face the indestructible Tyrant named Mister X.
