Rogue: Genesia

Rogue: Genesia is a classic role-playing video game with an isometric top-down view, drawn with love for the old school hits of the last century. The protagonist, named Rog, is a lone knight errant, who has made it a rule to help out ordinary residents and fight back the forces of darkness that are not giving up on trying to enslave the universe. This time the threat is especially large-scale: thousands of creatures are rushing into the world, sweeping away everything in their path, and it’s up to him to stop them. Development is built according to the classics: for exterminating opponents and completing assignments, the hero gains experience, and at each new level he improves his characteristics and unlocks fresh perks - his combat effectiveness increases noticeably. The difficulty doesn't stand still either: at first Rog fences with a handful of enemies, and after a couple of hours there are already hundreds of them on the screen at the same time. At first, only edged weapons are used - swords, spears, axes and other good old-fashioned things. Later, magical perks are revealed: for example, a knight can be surrounded by a field that itself holds the defense and automatically deals damage in the area - the player can only move deftly. The plot is presented in short cut scenes in pixel graphics, like in the masterpieces of the 1990s.
