In Rome: Total War, a revolutionary video game from Creative Assembly, you can experience the beauty of the mechanics of exploration, expansion, exploitation and destruction. The action takes place during the Roman Republic from 270 BC. e., and ends in the 14th year of the new millennium. Take control of one of the 21 available factions and begin your exciting adventure through historical European lands. A special feature of the project is the division of the gameplay into strategic and tactical components. The first offers the opportunity to observe your possessions on huge maps of Europe, Western Asia and North Africa. Lead your troops to the desired region, build and improve entire cities, establish diplomatic relations with opponents, or send spies to obtain valuable information. In general, this regime represents a “headquarters” in which a plan for further development is drawn up. But you should remember that each move takes six months, and you need to make the right decisions so as not to lose. The second important element of Rome: Total War comes from the real-time strategy genre. Control a huge army of troops (up to 30 thousand units) and take part in full-scale battles with various opponents. Your task will be to destroy all opponents or put them to flight. The game has a system of squads consisting of a certain number of troops. Also, in buildings such as barracks or stables, you can hire mercenaries to complete tasks on the global map. In addition to the main troops, there are specialized classes: • Diplomat – makes alliances and agreements. Useful for the peaceful conduct of politics. • Spy – a useful type, provides information about foreign regions, armies, as well as the characteristics of generals. Can undermine the economy of enemy cities. • Hitman is an assassin capable of precisely destroying special targets. Useful for sabotaging the power of states.
