Scarlet Nexus takes place in the world of the distant future. Monsters called "Others" are attacking the entire human race. They can neither be injured nor killed. Only people who have a special hormone in their brain that gives them psychokinetic abilities can resist them. One of these people turns out to be an OTF operative named Yuito Sumeragi. The hero Scarlet Nexus uses a magical katana in battle, which he holds in his right hand, and his left hand is used as psionic abilities, allowing him to lift opponents into the air, break and throw objects, etc. Due to mutations, enemies experience a constant feeling of pain. To satisfy it, they need to feed on the brains of living beings. They resemble a cross between a person and various inanimate objects or a symbiosis with plants. The developers were inspired by classic Japanese anime and Western science fiction. The action will take place in the futuristic city of New Himuka. As a child, he was saved by one of the OTF squad members, and since then he has vowed to give back to the organization and promised to become one of the fighters of their squad.
