Silent Hill

The main character of Silent Hill - Harry Mason - goes with his seven-year-old daughter Cheryl to a distant city on a lake. Not far from their destination, an unexpected accident occurs - a man notices a girl with short hair running down the street, Harry's car falls into a ditch, and when he wakes up, he notices that his child has disappeared. He has no choice but to go to Silent Hill, where he, along with police officer Sybil Bennett, explores the streets and alleys, encountering manifestations of his worst nightmares. In this psychological horror game, the player will control the hero from a third person and explore the city. The peculiarity of the game consists of two elements: logical puzzles of varying difficulty levels and fighting grotesque monsters (dog skins, flying carcasses, giant cockroaches, demonic nurses). Before you start playing, you should set the difficulty level in the settings, as well as the presence or absence of hints. Combat boils down to causing damage to opponents using bladed or firearms (pistol, shotgun and hunting rifle). For quick and silent attacks, Harry uses everyday objects scattered throughout the city. The hero can deliver a weak or strong blow and finish off an enemy lying on the ground, but it is best to run away in cases where there are many opponents. The combat system is simple and consists of two buttons. The sense of dread is heightened by a portable radio, the crackling sound of which heralds an impending threat and the highly atmospheric transformation of the city into a demonic version of itself. Depending on the decisions made during the passage, the player will be able to see one of four endings prepared by the creators.
