A survival horror game, SOMA was the second game from the studio to give us amnesia. Now we are faced with the question not only of statistical human survival in extreme conditions, but also of key values: consciousness, freedom, human value and others. Only robots do well in the game. At a time when radio waves are inaccessible and blocked by artificial intelligence, food is almost running out - what will you do? While the player comes to his senses and goes through the "prologue" at Paphos II station, he is shown that the key aspect of the game is the question. Is it worth continuing to do something if nothing makes sense? The underwater station was abstracted from the outside world for a long time, and the picture did not change much. Only now there is a real, surviving person on it, trying to get to the ground. What can he do other than run away? The entire underwater complex depends on the notes that you will read as you progress through the story. The hero moves along a dark hollow of dead corridors, sees old, defective batteries, reads the labels on them and one thought occurs to him: if robots have filled the station, then they also need to be powered with something! At this point, the character begins to look for other survivors. There are no weapons in SOMA. The main task of the player is to outwit the artificial intelligence, which does not sit still, even when you minimize the game. While your character is idle, monsters and robots already know that you are not doing anything and are moving towards you. The plot is based on survival, but no one will let you survive. Search for items, run fast and try not to go crazy in Paphos II. As the developers say: it’s too easy to lose your head here.
