Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Tomb Raider: Anniversary - Lara Croft goes in search of ancient artifacts, and it all starts in India, where the heroine has to deal with hiring and old acquaintances. Then the path lies through Peru, Greece and Egypt to the solution to what is hidden in the ancient tombs. The first serious problem awaits the heroine even before leaving: a hunt has already been opened for her. This is a remake of the first part of the series, assembled on the engine of later games: the controls have become more convenient, and Lara has learned to use a grappling hook, acrobatic tricks and quickly dodge attacks. Separately, scenes have been added where you need to press a button in time to escape from being shot or survive a fall. You can save almost anywhere, so difficult jumps don't turn into punishment. Puzzles take up as much space as shooting: levers, gears, moving platforms and buried mechanisms require observation rather than speed. Caches are hidden in secluded places, and for finds they give bonuses to weapons. In addition to the plot tombs, there are additional ones where something large and very unhappy lives. The enemies you come across are different: from mercenaries and animals to huge creatures that cannot be taken head-on. The two pistols never run out of ammunition, but the damage leaves much to be desired, so heavy targets have to be handled with a rifle. Some episodes are reminiscent of the first part: the same halls, the same traps, but reassembled. Relics and ancient mechanisms provide access to secret rooms where bonuses and documents are located. The dinosaurs that everyone remembers in the original are also there, and meeting them is still invigorating. For those who remember the first game and want to see it in an updated form.
